Description:
Project Alicization, a top-secret government project run by Rath, a company affiliated with the Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF), was started to create the first highly adaptive, «Bottom-up AI». By using a 4th generation FullDive machine, called the Soul Translator (STL), Rath succeeded in copying the Fluctlights (souls) of twelve newborn babies, creating a «Soul Archetype», a non-developed Artificial Fluctlight that could be copied to create new Artificial Fluctlights, which would then need to be nurtured to mature into an individual. For this reason, a virtual world, codenamed «Underworld», was created using the free kernel version of the Cardinal System, The Seed, and then transferred into the STL mainframe via the Mnemonic Visuals feature of the STL.

Underworld is set in a past era, when science and philosophy were just being discovered, but instead of recreating a past era, limited terrain and certain customs were introduced so that the inhabitants of the world would form their own society.

Shutting down the Soul Translator Machine is like committing mass genocide... Please dont.

They also spice up the drama on this, kids would have a hard time catching up.

The first SAO novel was great. The concepts, the setting, the MC and the villain looked promising. Then the amateur writer tried his hand at romance. Then we got that power of love shit. It was nothing to REEEEEEE about since the overall story was still ok.

Then Fairy Dance happened and gave us an uninspired copy paste world complete with a self-insert power fantasy story and a matching MC that has a cheat ability. The prototype for the modern isekai.

I read the progressive version a few months ago hoping it was him fixing SAO since he now had more experience at writing. It follows the same trend. Starts of great then slowly devolves into shit but does it at a much quicker pace. Not even 1/10th into the Aincrad arc.

TLDR: SAO was a fluke and Asuna a shit.

@sedition no people dislike SAO because they drew too much into romance when people were enjoying the rest of the story, SAO is written fine imo people just need to get over themselves and stop acting like royalty yelp reviewers.

oh shit i better get on the isekai bandwagon

and thus this garbage heap was born.

People dislike SAO because of it's terrible writing, they dislike Kawahara Reki because he's a terrible writer. I feel like the majority of people who dislike SAO don't dislike it because it's become cool to dislike it, any genuine fan of the genre will like something if it's good. I have certain episodes of SAO that I really like and others that I despise. If this manga is good people will naturally follow it and give it decent ratings.

It's a shame. People will ride the hate train and rating bomb the series purely because of the author's and the series's names. They won't even give it a try.

At this point on time the current publication of the books had 8 out of 16 books in the entire series in this arc. This of SAO is practically a soft reboot. Its going to be effectively an isekai. It's slow to start up, with the need to tie it in, but once it's going, it's not that dissimilar to all the "I'm now in a game!" variety of the isekai genre.

Somehow though, this series will be rated poorly compared to it's peers.
