@OniBarubary to be fair, the author doesn't have to necessarily make a political point. You can only create so many larger conflicts that affect the manga world's population without using conflicts that may resemble those in our society.
If it were to truly reference some aspects of true life, it would make the reason half-race kids are attacked wholly because of bullshit like purity or superiority of race. As it is, it may be because those kids are clearly shown to have defects and become unable to live life or become dangerous like Melon. Then again, there also was this nasty thing generations ago where people killed those with disabilities in real life...

Tldr; there's not enough proof IMO that the author is making a political statement.

I forgot, but if you read far enough, you'll find that its a 'good fascism' that tried so hard being NOT racist since their past is ULTRA RACIST. Imagine modern day German attitude toward anything NAZI, but with death penalty for even the slightest offense. Yes, in Centaur no Nayami, even just being the tiniest amount of borderline racist even as casual joke will send you to their version of gulag, at the very least.

Imagine thinking this manga is fucking free of politics and not trying to make larger points through storytelling about the world we live in. Imagine getting that triggered when people rightfully talk about connections.
