The exam system makes no sense. They test on either attacking as one category or fleeing/defense as another category. Why wouldn't everyone take up spatial magic, then? It's great for BOTH attacking and defending. You reposition yourself with spatial magic to avoid enemy fire and to allow a better angle for your own attacks. Unless the test actually takes that into account, everyone should want spatial magic.
