Wouldn't translating/localizing degozaru make her sound like a ye olde timey knight or something, at best? It's supposed to show that she's speaking in an old fashioned way and all. I'd personally find her going full renaissance fair on us way more annoying than a degozaru.

S1 was just a giant bait to get you to buy the ln (which is what i ended up doing). Since, just like NGNL, they dropped a massive spoiler ending in regards to event that don't happen until much later. Since Spoiler

It just wouldn't sound right without "degozaru".

well, it's not as simple as that tho...
also she uses it because she is meant to be in feudal Japan era or something..
On the other hand, degozaru is equal to desu and on the same time I wanna try the English LN way to circumvent this problem but that'll too much work for me personally..

it shouldn't be annoying to translate "de gozaru", you should be able to just replace it with "desu" and get the same meaning (or the corresponding form, e.g. "de gozarou" would become "deshou")
