@Kaarme Aburi mochi is small in real life too. And from Conju's fans and friends, we can see that this place has been popular for quite a long time. There are shops like that in real-life too, in Taiwan, Hong Kong and some other Asian countries, and they still popular even after a few decades. Customers will continue to spread the information that the food is good. |

The pain of a disappointingly small portion... too real, man ? |

Appropriately enough, I read this chapter while standing in line for 50 minutes for a burrito. Are they that good? No, but it's free. (After a fashion.) |

I kind of feel for the shop, in a way. I mean, they probably had a good thing going, and bigger portions, and happy customers, and then they got Discovered. And so now they're trying to stretch the supply to satisfy as many customers as possible, by hurrying people along and restricting each order and making smaller portions . . . and in the end nobody is really satisfied. But if they didn't do that they'd serve fewer people, and some people would end up waiting in line forever for nothing, and so on. They're in kind of a cleft stick, damned if they do, damned if they don't, although I'm sure the money is a consolation. |

It's possible customers wouldn't ever return when the line is long and the portions are tiny. The restaurant made a nice profit that day, no doubt, but if it's worth it in the long run is another question. |

I'd have gotten an aneurysm at seeing such miserly portions, specially after having them rationed at that too. The pie did sound more tasty anyway, hope they stuff themselves of them. |
